I didn't post this yesterday because of Wordy Wednesday, but it was MANATEE APPRECIATION DAY!!!  Oh, I love me some manatees. They are my spirit animal...lol

We adopt a manatee every year from the Save The Manatee foundation.  Our manatee is Lenny.  He's 40 and this is his pic......

Travel Tuesday

Ugh..it's Spring Break EVERYWHERE but in the Beech....and my social media feeds are FULL of pictures of people in Florida, South Carolina, Alabama, Mexico, Italy, Spain, Germany, Arizona, blah blah blah blah blah......

And here we are....I'm done wearing a winter coat.  I'm offically boycotting.

Granted, I get to go to Florida for a few days over my break, and I know it's only a few weeks away, but still...I want to go NOW!

Hmm....Another FIVE DAY WEEK???  What the what???

How was your weekend?  Nothing major here.  Spent all day Saturday at a lacrosse tournament at Andrew.  Fun birthday party Saturday night and worked on house stuff/school stuff on Sunday.  Weekend flew by...as usual.  Everyone else in my house is on vacation this week, so I'm only responsible for myself in the mornings.  I'm a big fan of that!!!

Me....
Not going to fib...I'm on the "feel good" struggle bus today.  Nothing major.  Big picture, things are really good.  Just lots of little things that are hanging over my head.  I'm a cheerful person by nature and even when things are really crappy, I'm generally in a decent mood.  Just lots going on.  I need an assistant..haha!

But....
Spring Break for my family next week.  My oldest is already off today.
Fun Birthday party for a friend tomorrow night.
March Madness at the Fish Fry tonight!

Grievance Thursday

I have to plan this event for Homewood Baseball & Softball and I just plain don't want to.  It's a big "Season Kick-Off" fundraising party and I was sort of forced into doing it, but I'll be honest...I have ZERO desire to do this.  And nobody is really helping all that much, which is making it harder to rally up my own interest.  It's in two weeks and while I know it will be fine, I just don't want to put the work into it and I want it to be over.  

Also, I'm over all my winter clothes.  I'm ready to put some sandals on.  

That's what's annoying me today.  What about you??

Half Day Monday

Mondays aren't so bad when you only have to be here a half day.  I have to be here the whole day, but I have a couple "free" hours this afternoon to get some work done, which I always welcome!  

Weekend was busy and good!  Worked the fish fry Friday night, Saturday we went to a couple of St. Patrick's Day parties.  Sunday we went looking at houses....AND WE FOUND ONE!  Now I just need to figure out how to afford it!

Happy Tuesday! 

I'm not here for 1st/2nd hour today.  I have a meeting in Homewood at 8, so I'll be in probably toward the end of 2nd hour.  

Please help out whoever is subbing this morning with getting the overhead turned on, blog post up, CNN going.  Thank You!!!  

1st hour, your assignment is in Google Classroom.

Today's question....what type of sleeper are you?  Are you a night owl?  Do you go to bed early?  I use to be a night owl.  Our old principal, Dr. Wright, always used to comment how all emails sent by me were always around 2AM.  Nowadays....hahaha..NOPE.  I go to bed early.  I'd rather get up at 4AM to work on a project than stay up late and work on it.  Most weeknights I'm in bed by 9:30, which is quite pathetic if you ask me..haha.  But...I'm tired. Weekends are a different story.

This weekend we wrapped up our basketball season with a tourney championship Friday night and our end-of-season banquet yesterday.  My St. Joe's work goes on hiatus for a while and now it's time for BASEBALL season.  I'm SO ready!  

Friday night we had basketball and I worked the fish fry for St. Joe's.  Saturday I did NOTHING.  It was so awesome!  I mean, I did a bunch of stuff, but I never got out of my pajamas.  I watched an entire season of Victoria, graded a bunch of papers, did our taxes, etc.  I had dinner delivered from Door Dash and I went to bed relatively early for a Saturday night. 

Yesterday was the banquet for St. Joe's, so we were there setting up early and cleaning up after.  That's all that went on yesterday.

With the exception of 1st/2nd hour on Tuesday, I should be here all week.  FINALS!

Hello!  Be good for Mrs. O today!  I'm at a conference with Mrs. Waterman, Mrs. Rojas, and Sars.  

So...yesterday was Ash Wednesday, which marks the beginning of Lent.  Do you observe Lent?  Are you giving anything up?  

I generally vow to just be a better person in general during Lent, but I think this year I might actually give something up.  I'm going to try to give up pop.  Let's see how I do!

How was your long weekend? I'm still not feeling 100%, but I'm feeling much better!  I did the following.....

1) Spent a bunch of time in bed watching Victoria.

2) I got a new washing machine and it was delivered on Saturday!  It plays an acutal song when it's done!  CRAZY!

3) My kid was in a basketball tournament, so I was able to go watch those.  Undefeated...if they win tonight, they play for the "ship" on Friday.

4)  I'm going with my friends tonight to see Jen Hatmaker.  She's a blogger/public speaker/podcast host/author.  I'm sort of geeked up about it.

Feel Good Friday!

Happy Friday!!!  I don't know how "feel good" it is for me.  As you can see, I'm not there today.  I'm pretty sure I have the flu, and it's nasty.  It makes sense, because this is the first year since I started teaching that I didn't get a flu shot.

Please be good for your sub!

Beyond getting better, we don't have much going on this weekend.  My younger son is in a basketball tournament this weekend.  That's about it.  I might actually come to school on Monday, as I need to get some work done.
